William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor who born on 26 April 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. His birth and death dates were same. His father name was John Shakespeare who was a leather merchant and mother name was Mary Arden who was a local landed heiress. He was the third child of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. William had two elder sisters, Joan and Judith, and three younger brothers, Gilbert, Richard and Edmund. On November 28, 1582 William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway in Worcester, in Canterbury Province. The couple had their first daughter on May 26, 1583 whose name was Susanna. On February 2, 1585, twins Hamnet and Judith were born. Scholars agree that Shakespeare was probably educated at the King's New School, in Stratford, which taught reading, writing and the classics. Being a public official's child, William would have undoubtedly qualified for free tuition. It is not confirmed that when he began writing but it is in records that several of his plays were on the London stage by 1592. In 1594 some of his plays were published in quarto editions and by 1598 his name had become a selling point and began to appear on the title page. And after his success as a playwright he starts to work in his own and other plays. He was an extensive writer. He also wrote many poetries, plays, books and very interesting quotes. His most famous quote about positive thinking is given below, “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” Throughout his career, he divided his time between London and Stratford. Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616, at the age of 52.
