Steven
Wright was born on 6th of December 1955 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
His father name was Alexander K. Wright who was an electronics technician. And
his mother name was Lucille "Dolly". He grew up in Burlington,
Massachusetts as a Roman Catholic. His mother was Italian American and his
father was of Scottish descent. He is not married yet and has no relation to
any lady.
For getting his
associate's degree Wright attended Middlesex Community College in Bedford,
Massachusetts for two years. And then he has done his future studies at Emerson
College from where he completed his graduation in 1978.
After
graduating from Emerson College he started to build his career as a stand-up
comedian. Then in 1982 the producer of The Tonight Show invited Wright on his
show. There Wright performed outstandingly and impressed both the viewers and
the host of the show. Due to his outstanding performance he was invited again
at the show just a week later.
Wright’s
most popular album I Have a Pony was released in 1985, which was the reason of
his popularity. This album was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best
Comedy Album. He is an actor and producer who is well known for Natural Born
Killers (1994), Reservoir Dogs (1992) and So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993). He
released his long-awaited second album, "I Still Have a Pony" in
September in October 2007.
He is also a
great author and writer. He wrote many quotes on various topics. One of his
best quotes is as given below,
“If at first you don't
succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.”
He is now
