Penny Marshall was a Director and Producer by occupation. She was born in New York City in 15th October 1943. Marshall grew up in the Bronx. Her father name was Tony Marshall who was a director and producer and her mother Marjorie Marshall was a dance teacher. She married to Michael Henry in 1961 and the couple had one daughter named Tracy and then they divorced in 1963. Then she married to Rob Reiner in 1971, who adopted her daughter and gave her his last name and the couple divorced in 1981.

She spent her childhood at Bronx. She completed her graduation from Walton High School in 1960. And then she studied math and psychology from the University of New Mexico. Her hobbies included needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles and antique shopping.

Then she worked with her brother and landed a recurring role as Secretary Myrna Turner on The Odd Couple. Then she play major role in his brothers series, Happy Days. Penny Marshall became a successful film director after starring in the sitcom 'Laverne and Shirley.' Her works include 'Big' and 'A League of Their Own.' In 2001 she directs Drew Barrymore film Riding in Cars With Boys.
