Barack Hussein Obama II was born on 4 August, 1961 in Honolulu; Hawaii. He is a black American. His mother name was Stanley Ann Dunham who was a white American from Wichita, Kansas. His father name was Barack Obama Sr. who was black, was from Alego, Kenya. Obama's parents met in 1960 in Russia, and they married in Wailuku, Hawaii on February 2, 1961. His parents divorced in March 1964. On October 3, 1992 Obama married to black Michelle Robinson and the couple has two daughters, Malia Ann and Natasha. Obama lived for several years in Jakarta with his half sister, mother, and stepfather where he attended a government run school, here he received Islamic instructions and from a Catholic private school he took part in Christian schooling. In 1971 he returned to Hawaii and there he lived with his grandparents. He also spent some time with his mother. In 1979 he graduated from Punahou School. In 1983 he received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University in New York City and after he attended Occidental College for two years.  He deeply read literature and philosophy works by William Shakespeare, Friedrich Nietzsche, Toni Morrison, and some others. He took a position in 1985 as a community organizer on Chicago’s largely impoverished Far South Side. He serves for a couple of years as a writer and editor for Business International Corporation, a research publishing and consulting firm in Manhattan. In 1991 from Harvard University’s law school, he graduated magna cum laude in 1991. After receiving his law degree, Obama moved to Chicago and became active in the Democratic Party. He captured the presidency in 1992. He then taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School first as a lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and then as a senior lecturer from 1996 to 2004. In 1996 Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate. In January 2003, Obama became chairman of the Illinois Senate's Health and Human Services Committee. Obama resigned from the Illinois Senate in November 2004. He became 44th President on January 20, 2009. In 2009 he was awarded the” Nobel Peace Prize”.
