AnneliesMarie Frank was born on 12 June 1929 at the Maingau Red Cross Clinic inFrankfurt, Germany. Her father name was Otto Frank and her mother name wasEdith Frank. She was not married nor had children. She died at the age of 15. 

Her familymoved to Amsterdam where Anne enrolled in a Montessori school. Anne showed agreat interest in reading and writing. She was a diarist by occupation. In herwriting, she posed her relationships with her family members, and also wroteabout her family member’s different personalities. 

She considered herself to beemotionally closest to her father and having a difficult relationship with hermother. She realized that these differences resulted from misunderstandingsthat were as much her fault as her mother's and with these realizations; shebegan to treat her mother with a degree of tolerance and respect. When theywere in hiding Anne spent most of her time in reading and studying and sheregularly wrote and edited her diary entries. 

She wrote about her feelings,beliefs, and ambitions, on the personal subjects which she could not discusswith anyone. She wrote more abstract subjects such as her belief in God, andhow she defined human nature. On the morning of 4 August 1944 theywere arrested by German police and were interrogated and held overnight in RSHAheadquarter. On 3 September 1944, the group was deported from Westerbork to theAuschwitz concentration camp where they are forcibly separated from Otto Frank.With the other women and girls Frank’s family were not selected for immediatedeath and teased there.
