Alan Alda is
an American actor, director, screenwriter and author who were born on January
28, 1936, in the Bronx, New York City. He was a great actor, who got many
awards because of his love for his work Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor
in a Comedy Series in 1980, Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy or
Comedy-Variety or Music Series in 1979, Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing
for a Comedy Series in 1977 and Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in
a Drama Series in 2006.His father, Robert Alda was an actor and singer, and his
mother, Joan Browne, was a homemaker and former beauty-pageant winner. He was
attacked by polio when he was seven years old. He attended Archbishop Stepinac
High School in White Plains, New York and he done bachelors of Arts in English
from Fordham College of Fordham University in the Bronx in 1956. In college, he was a member of the ROTC, and
after graduation, he served for a year at Fort Benning, and then six months in
the United States Army Reserve on a tour of duty in Korea. Alda began his
career as a member of the Compass Players in the 1950s. He also wrote and
direct many plays his most famous writings are
"The Long John Flap" and "Dr. Pierce and Mr. Hyde"
written with Robert Klane and his famous directing are "Mail Call", "Bulletin Board" and "The Kids". Alda also wrote several
of the stories and poems that appeared in Marlo Thomas' television show Free to
be... you and me. He was also a great charity leader who has done extensive
charity work. He wrote many books, novels and quotes for his readers in every
category like Love, Life, Positive, Inspiring, Motivation and about family that
is great source of popularity for him. He said in his famous quote:
